Betty Kano Exhibit at San Pablo Gallery
Posted inSAN PABLO — The San Pablo Arts Gallery, located in Maple Hall, 13831 San Pablo Ave., will present "3 2 C Now," an exhibit of works by Betty Nobue Kano, Karen Chin and Byron Spicer, from Aug. 2 to Sept. 28.
An opening reception will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. The gallery is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. and by appointment.

About Betty Kano
Kano, a lecturer at San Francisco State University and New College of California, has exhibited her work in nearly 200 galleries and museums. She co-founded Art Against Apartheid, Asian American Women Artists Association and Women of Color Camp.
At this year's meeting of the Japanese American Women Alumnae of UC Berkeley, Kano was named Alumna of the Year and gave a talk on her evolution from a physics major to her participation in the Free Speech movement, her personal development in Japan and Cuba, and her return to UCB in the fine arts.
