SAN MATEO — Hiroshi Kashiwagi, author of “Shoe Box Plays,” will be participating in a poetry event sponsored by the Asian American Curriculum Project on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. at the San Mateo Main Library, 55 W, 3rd Ave.
He will be reading from his next book, a collection of his poems, old and new.
A native of Sacramento, Kashiwagi is a retired librarian of the San Francisco Public Library. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Screen Actors Guild. He and his wife, Sadako, are parents of three sons. He has been a resident of the Bay Area since 1952.
